Shops

There’re many different kinds of shops in the Herning Center. It varies from clothes stores and toy stores to restaurants and supermarkets. Due to the large amount of shops and restaurants it can be very hard to find the exact place you are looking for, so the management of the Herning Center has put some machines up all around the mall. These machines will allow you to browse and search for the store or restaurant you might want to find, and guide you to it as well. If you are not sure whether you want to go or not, we have put together categories of the different kinds of shops.

  • Fashion – Women

  • Fashion – Men

  • Fashion – Kids

  • Electronics and Telephones

  • Jewelry, Watches And Glasses

  • Sport, Spare Time And Toys

  • Health, Beauty And Other Stores

  • Restaurants And Cafés

  • Groceries And Delicac

As you can see, the Herning Center has a store for just about anyone, making it one of the most visited places in Herning. It is definitely a place of interest to foreigners staying for a long or short period. We recommend grabbing a few friends and go shop there some time after school or in the weekends. The opening hours are as following:

Monday – Friday: 10:00-19:00

Saturday: 10:00-16:00

First Sunday each month: 11:00-16:00

Navigation

It would be stupid to recommend a place and then fail to give directions to it. The Herning Center is located at Merkurvej 1, and has over a thousand parking spot scattered around it, which are all free, if you plan on going by car. Handicap-spots are also included at all entrances. If you choose to go by foot you can also do that. The route is not very difficult, and you can use the included map to find your way all the way from Herning Gymnasium.

There are also busses going 4 times every hour on weekdays from the local city bus terminal and to the Herning Center. These busses are route 2 and 5 going towards the city of Hammerum, and the servicebus S5 going towards Holtbjerg.
