Herning is a very cultural place with lots of things to see and do. But as a newcomer in Denmark, finding friends can be difficult. You don’t find that many friends by going to a museum, but sports, that’s a good way to find friends and have fun! Herning has a lot of different things to offer. Here are some of the sports that is in Herning:

Basketball

In Herning Hurricanes you can play basketball on all levels. Both beginners and pros can play.

There is always a good atmosphere and you will defiantly have a good time. Come try it out and make new friends.

Trainings are Monday and Wednesday at 18:00 – 19:30

Football

Herning Fremad

They have 3 teams signed up for the JBU tournament, a dream team, an A-team and a B-team. They expect to be 50 players this year, and it’s for boys on every levels.

The 3 teams training schedule is as following:

Dream team: Monday + Tuesday + Thursday 16.15 – 17.45

A-team and B-team Tuesday + Thursday 16.15 – 17.45

Handball

Denmark is the inventor of handball and it is one of the biggest sports we have. The handball club “Herning Forenede Håndboldklubber(HFH)” is the biggest handball club. It is for boys and girls at every age, and on every levels.
