The Jelling Festival is four days full of happy people, great atmosphere, fantastic music and decent food. So when you are in Denmark, do not cheat yourself from a wonderful experience like this. But the weather in Denmark is not always wonderful, so remember to pack your rainwear.
The program
The music at a festival is one of the most important things. The music makes the whole atmosphere so lovely, you’re up all time, just having the time of your life with your best friends, and it just keeps going for 3 days. Inside the festival area in Jelling, there are 4 different scenes you’ll have the opportunity to see some of the biggest Danish artist preform. Some of the names in 2014 are:

John Fogerty is best known as the lead singer and guitarist in the band Creedence Clearwater Revival.

Life on a festival camp
Being on a festival is a very social thing. You live in tents and different camps together with your friends. It’s on the camp you live and when you’re not at a concert, the camps are where you stay. It is on the camp all the fun happens. Here you can play games, like, beer bowling, beer race and what else you can come up with. You can meet a lot of new people and get new friends. There are many different camps; there are camps for bordering schools, old students from bordering schools and so on. There a sometimes fights between the camps and this can be very entertaining. Remember to bring festival chair, sunglasses, canned food and a great mood. Then you are perfectly prepared to Jelling festival!
On the festival there are many opportunities for you to buy food at the festival arena. Here you can get delicious burgers, hotdogs, soda, beer and much more. There are breakfast menus with for example egg and bacon or crusty rolls. There are also a lot of fun booths where you can buy almost anything you want! They sell almost everything, from sunglasses, wigs, phone covers, fake tattoos, trinkets and clothing.
What does it cost?
When you want to buy a ticket to Jelling Music festival, is it a good idea to buy it in good time because the prices’ raise the longer you wait. The ticket sales start d. 1. December and this is where the ticket is cheapest. Here it only cost 1050 kr. and from here it only gets more expensive. In the period from 2nd December - 31st January it costs 1.250 DKK. But if you want to buy the ticket in the next period, which is from 1st February – 30th April will it cost 1.400 DKK. In the period from 1st May – 27th May the ticket will cost 1.500 DKK. But if you decide to go to the festival in the last minute you can buy a ticket by the entrance. If you don’t have your own tent, you can by a ticket with a 4 persons tent for

Transportation
Jelling is a small city southeast from Herning. It’s really easy to come from Herning to Jelling. All trains between Herning and Vejle stops in Jelling, they run once an hour. There are special festival busses when you arrive in Jelling, which will drive you to the festival camp.
